It's not often that I get the chance to photograph hacking shows, so I definitely went into Castle Hill Show with some imposter syndrome going on! That said, I like the challenge of photographing something different to my usual showjumping, so I was very grateful to Amylie May for inviting me along to help cover the day.
I always enjoy the contrast of horses against a more modern backdrop, and Castle Hill gave me that when the light swung around late in the morning. There is something about that mix of equestrian tradition and architecture that really appeals to me visually.
